At this point, we’re going to watch the entire new Barbie movie with Margot Robbie through Twitter but all these videos and photos have meant we’ve got an excellent look at what to expect from the costumes in Greta Gerwig’s new film! Designed by the critically acclaimed Jacqueline Durran, who has previously designed costumes for Atonement, Anna Karenina and the 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, our first sneak peeks point towards a characteristically pink Barbie. Of course, Barbie will be wearing a lot of bright fuchsia but the costumes we’ve seen so far are not the stereotypical ‘girly’ aesthetic we are used to. Wearing flared jeans and athletic gear, this is a Barbie that likes to have fun and knows what she’s doing!
