eBay Announces Tasha Ghouri as Pre-Loved Ambassador

She may not have become Queen of the villa but one thing is for sure, Tasha Ghouri of Love Island season 8 was the fashion icon of the iconic Spanish pad. Since the show ended just under two weeks ago, we’ve all been waiting to see which islanders will sign a fashion deal first. Historically, islanders have generally opted for fashion deals with fast fashion giants like BooHoo and Pretty Little Thing; however, this year was different.

It was announced earlier this year that the ITV2 giant was collaborating with eBay UK instead of a fast fashion company. “As one of the original homes of pre-loved, we believe that by joining forces with this incredibly influential programme, we’ll inspire the nation to think differently and make more conscious choices when it comes to their wardrobes,” said Eve Williams, Chief Marketing Officer at eBay UK.

Today it has been announced that Tasha Ghouri will become eBay UK’s first ever pre-loved ambassador, the first non-fast fashion partnership to come out of the show. Commenting on the partnership, eBay’s Head of Fashion, Jemma Tadd said, “Over the past 8 weeks, we’ve seen Islanders embrace pre-loved for the first time ever on mainstream TV, showing that simple additions or swaps to outfits can make all the difference - in so many ways.

“Tasha has been a game-changer and her eye for style is undeniable. She is a fantastic role model for what fashion of the future looks like and we look forward to bringing Tasha’s vision and style to life as our partnership continues.”

Posting to her Instagram following of 1.2 million, Tasha spoke of her joy over the partnership saying “Prior to Love Island, I’ve always bought secondhand for my wardrobe, so partnering with eBay really is a dream come true”

Both eBay and Tasha say that more information will be released in due course!
