The Met Gala 2022: Men’s Best Dressed

Exploring deeper into 'In America: An Anthology of Fashion', last week saw the most attention-grabbing event in the fashion calendar.

With met gala attendees infamous for the imposing question of whether or not they’re going to meet the theme, this list is a celebratory tribute to the experimental looks that explore the parameters outside of the black tuxedo. This year, the theme was ‘Gilded Age’. Want a deeper explanation of what this means? Look no further than our article here.

To summarise, this term refers to the time period from 1870 to 1900, a time of top hats, long frock coats, knee breeches and extensive waistcoats traditionally for men. The Gala is notorious for giving attendees a free pass to push these boundaries, to turn heads in a look that was collaborated with their hosting designer.

This year, men explored neon colours (whether that’s up to the theme, you decide), vintage corsets, capes, theatrical exaggeration and Jared Leto confusions. Scroll the list to unravel the men’s best dressed in 2022.
