The Fashion Colour Trends For Autumn 2021 You Should Know
By taking a look back at the trends from last seasons runways, colour is back on track this Autumn and quite honestly, after the doom and gloom of recent times, we are so for it! Trends, of course, come and go as quickly as the changes in the weather, but some things do stay the same - expect whites and florals in the Summer and oranges and darker neutrals in Autumn.
Historically speaking, during times of global distress fashion trends often follow suit and become more understated, think of WW2. However, when the war ended and rationing became less severe something incredible happened, fashion became extravagant once more, giving people a new sense of freedom and expression. When we’ve had some tough times we like to say au revoir to them with colour! And so, we are entering a time of maximalism and colour explosion. Neutrals and minimalism may have held our hearts for several years at this point, with a Scandinavian style being adored by many on Pinterest, but now it is time to go big or, quite frankly, go home.
Looking to stay on trend this season, or just trying to invoke more colour into your day to day life? Here are some of the colours to keep an eye out for when shopping!

Glowing Green
You may associate green with grass for Spring but in Autumn associate this universally flattering colour with emeralds. Green, especially in richer hues, is elegant and classy and will elevate any outfit you put together. A pair of green trousers make for a subtle pop of colour, excellent for the back-to-office environment, or go for a green shirt for a more versatile item.
Popping Pink
You may shy away from pink, but trust us, you’ll make quite the fashion statement this season with a pop of pink in your outfit. Really trying to capture people’s attention? Opt for a fuschia dress or pair, or a pair of pink trousers for a more understated look. If you are looking to tone down your pink affair, aim for grey neutral tones.
Orange Oasis
Even if you take no interest in fashion you’ll be aware of the resurgence of vintage-inspired fashion over the last couple of years. 1970s fashion has particularly taken the hearts of many, bringing orange tones back into the forefront of style. Burnt orange and even orange-brown tones have always been common in Autumn, so while you can, of course, look here for inspiration, brighter oranges are also on the cards this season. A strong, bold orange shade will make heads turn and will, inevitably, leave you the subject of multitudes of compliments!
