It’s officially September, temperatures are slowly beginning to fall and the pumpkin spice latte is available in every Starbucks. We’re turning our wardrobes around, goodbye floral maxi dress and hello rust orange polo neck. The Royals always know how to dress appropriately for every occasion, event and season, and the Duchess of Cambridge is an absolute pro at this. Before even becoming a royal, Kate had a penchant for a good coat and after 10 years as a Duchess, nothing has changed. Her coat game from this year alone has been remarkable, truly superb!

In January 2020, Kate wore this Massimo Dutti coat to launch her UK-wide survey on early childhood. She paired it with a classic black polo neck and midi skirt for a timeless autumnal look.
Emerald Green Catherine Walker
Kate wore this deep green Catherine Walker coat to the Centenary of the Armistice event at Westminster Abbey in November 2018. She has also worn this coat in a red shade.

Kate has always been a fan of a monochromatic outfit, whether that be bright of subtle. In March 2021 she wore this pink Max&Co coat to visit a primary school in London. Paired with another pop of colour in her sweater, the wide-leg trousers help tone down the outfit.
