The 2022 Venice Film Festival is in full swing. The celebrities are walking the multiple red carpets and luxurious events and fashion watchers are in their element! Cate Blanchett has used the festival this year to prove, once again, that she is one of the most stylish celebrities in the last decade, rarely turning a mediocre look.

Starting her Oscar’s campaign, Blanchett has begun promoting her new film Tár with a series of high-fashion looks, on the red carpet and off. On Thursday evening, Blanchett bloomed in a corseted, black velvet look straight off the runway. The Schiaparelli F/W 2022 haute couture look, made up of velvet trousers, corseted top adorned with multicoloured, delicately hand-painted flowers, made the beloved Australian actress the best-dressed celeb in many eyes. Blanchett was styled by Elizabeth Stewart.

This wasn’t, of course, Blanchett’s only breathtaking ensemble of the festival so far. Earlier in the day, she wore a powder blue blouse and matching trousers by Giorgio Armani. Styling her hair away from her face with natural makeup, Blanchett looked fresh and ready to take on the rest of the day (and a press conference).

As an ambassador of Giorgio Armani, Blanchett was, rightly so, invited to an exclusive Armani Beauty dinner on the first night of the 79th Venice Film Festival. As has been a theme for her time in the Italian city this year, she wore another trouser-based outfit, this time with a strapless, deep-v neck embroidered top in black. A truly glamorous, and striking, look that only someone with Blanchett’s confidence could pull off.
